They don’t ever stop! Termites are one of the few creatures that doesn’t require sleep. These pests will be eating through wood, paper, and books day and night.

While they don’t eat wood like termites, they do tunnel through wood. They create extensive tunnels, nesting inside the wood and coming out for food such as sweets, grease, meat and eggs.

These aren’t a recent problem. Mosquitoes have been biting animals since the Jurassic period, breeding in stagnant pools of water. An infestation usually signals that there’s a breeding ground nearby.

While fleas take the gold for jumping, both get the red! Fleas and ticks feed on warm-blooded animals. Ticks are especially obvious after they’ve eaten. Their backside will fill over three times its size with blood.

These guys always burn the midnight oil. Bed bugs are nocturnal. They’ll wait until you’re asleep before coming out and feeding. They can be found in any place with soft fabrics and cushions, not just beds.

These guys are pretty new. Stink bugs are native to East Asia, but one was first sighted in Allentown, PA in 1998. They don’t smell until they feel threatened, when they’ll release an odor that you wish they left outside.

Unlike their fluffy friends, wasps are no joke. Wasp venom actually contains pheromones to alert and agitate other wasps in the area. While some wasps are solitary, others can live in colonies of up to 30 angry adults.

Not everyone is not as cool with wildlife entering their house as Snow White is. Squirrels can chew on wires and wood, possibly causing fire hazards and new places for more friends to pile in. Most people would prefer it if they never came in the first place.
